Update 2nd March 2025
Glen is receiving amazing care from the HUG paediatric team here in Geneva. Last night he had a particularly caring nurse who always gently said ‘tout va bien’ (all is well) to him when he woke up shortly.

Yes, Glen is slowly waking up! Today he had the strength to open his eyes a few times and look at me - I could even ask him a question and he could answer with a nod! The joy of seeing the sight of him again was indescribable for me as a dad.
Just so you can imagine: Glen has accesses to his neck and both wrists since the operation. He had slightly larger drainage tubes in his heart and abdominal area.
Today, the drainage tubes could be removed from the heart area. The tubes in the abdominal area remain for the time being because they still extract wound secretions.
Glen now tolerates it a little better when he wakes up briefly. He still needs medication to keep his blood pressure stable but we are on the right track.
We are taking it step by step and giving Glen the time he needs.
We are always very touched to see and feel how many children and adults are thinking of Glen and praying for him. THANK YOU so much.
P.S. Today I noticed the beautiful large work of art of Noah's Ark (with a rainbow) in the entrance area of the HUG paediatric clinic.
