Today I would like to give you an update on Glen's progress, which has brought us so much joy and hope over the last few days. It has been a very intense week full of emotional moments that have shown us how strong and fierce our Glen is.

On Tuesday, as mentioned in the last update, we were able to celebrate a major highlight: Glen was freed from his breathing tube. The relief was indescribable, although we immediately had to face the next challenge - post-operative delirium. It was difficult to see Glen in this condition and the fear was great because although this condition is temporary, no one can say how long it will last.

But this week we felt a renewed sense of hope and confidence.

And so we were soon able to experience a special moment: when we were able to take Glen out into the fresh air. The sun on his face and the chirping of the birds brought back a smile. It reminded us to appreciate the little things in life that we often take for granted.

Another huge step forward was music therapy. Glen's reaction when he heard his favourite songs was overwhelming - the sparkle in his eyes returned - it was another very emotional moment. Since then, Glen has made amazing progress and we are so grateful for the support of the paediatric clinic in Geneva.

Glen's recovery continues to take time and patience, with him having to relearn basic skills such as swallowing. But with the help of dedicated therapists, he is on a great path.

We don't know exactly how long this healing process will take. One doctor explained it to us with an apt comparison: the number of hours in the operating theatre often equals the number of weeks needed for a full recovery. But we are confident that Glen, with his energy and determination, will surprise us all.

We want to thank you all for your constant support - your thoughts, prayers and loving messages mean the world to us. We continue to take it day by day and are grateful for every positive step in Glen's journey.
